This golden rule has its reason and says simply:
Don't update the BIOS when your PC is running smoothly!
Only when your BIOS has serious bugs, or newly built hardware such as CPU, RAM, hard drive, etc. is not detected, then a BIOS update should be considered. On the following pages you will find a step-by-step instruction how to update the BIOS.
Attention: this Howto describes only a BIOS update according to standard, how it should work on most mainboards with AMI-BIOS, AWARD-BIOS or PHOENIX-BIOS. I cannot guarentee that it will work on your PC and I assume no liability for any damages! Please read the README files from your Mainboard manufacturer or PC manufacturer.

quote from webpage: "This method simulates/emulates a floppy drive. Due to the size limitation of a 2.88MB floppy disk, you can only use a BIOS file and flashtool whose total file size is max ~2.7MB!"
A warning on your webpage. Total size of your Dos and Bios files no greater than 2.77 Mb before burning to DVD/CD. I assume the data is corrupted? Can you explain in more detail.Bill Meyer 15.Oct.2013 15:24
Me and my BIG IDEAS....too bad I found you after the fact, the unit was running smoothly....but I updated anyways [ with the hopes I could up the RAM to 16 ] of course, I was wrong, the computer still worked fine for a few hours, then I got a microsoft warning, to copy files, hdd failure immenent or similar type warning. I ran iobit hdd check, found nothing, went into properties to do a disk check upong reboot and fix etc....got the black screen, no bootable device detected, insert boot disk, hit any key. and that was last friday...here I am still effin around with this thing. So it appears I need to revert the BIOS...I had no backup plan and had no idea how dangerous this was.kennywally 22.Jun.2013 00:52
